Panama Matariki Festival

"Celebrating Matariki with our Panama Whānau. A day of activities and kai."

Auckland Council wanted to support a Matariki inspired celebration in the community of Panama. We were engaged to project manage the event and enhance the community bringing about continued support to the area.

The format was a number of activities spread across four locations in one day. It consisted of an official opening, kapahaka performances, street festival, art, workshops, and kai. Additionally, branding and collateral was arranged and local stories explored which is reflected below in the street chalk art drawn by children.
