The Pohū Project

We were commissioned by Auckland Council to make a place-making offering for use in the community.

THE BRIEF

The experience was to consist of a New Zealand art and cultural themed offering that could be easily transported in a van and put into the community by 1-2 staff.

THE SOLUTION

Pohū developed a larger-than-life tactile prototype that reimagines the simple game of Tic Tac Toe/Noughts and Crosses and celebrated the iconic flower of New Zealand's Pōhutukawa, and the lesser known, rare plant of a close relative called Rātā Moehau
